The Path to Membership
Initial Contact
Reach out to us through our contact form or attend one of our public events. We'll be happy to answer your questions and help you learn more about Freemasonry.
Meet with Members
We'll arrange informal meetings with lodge members so you can get to know us and we can get to know you. This helps ensure Freemasonry is the right fit.
Submit Petition
When you're ready, you'll submit a petition for membership. Two current members will sponsor your application and vouch for your character.
Investigation & Vote
A committee will meet with you to discuss your interest and answer any remaining questions. The lodge will then vote on your petition.
The Three Degrees
Once accepted, you'll begin your Masonic journey through three degrees, each building upon the last:
Entered Apprentice
The first degree introduces you to Masonic principles and begins your journey of self-discovery.
Fellowcraft
The second degree emphasizes education, the liberal arts, and continued personal development.
Master Mason
The third degree represents the completion of your basic Masonic education and full membership.
Throughout this process, you'll be supported by a mentor who will guide you, answer questions, and help you integrate into the lodge community.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the process take?
The timeline varies, but from initial contact to becoming a Master Mason typically takes several months to a year. We don't rush the process—it's important to take time to learn and grow.
What is the time commitment?
We typically meet once a month, with additional opportunities for social events and community service. We understand members have work and family obligations and work to accommodate schedules.
Are there costs involved?
Yes, there are modest initiation fees and annual dues that help support lodge operations and charitable activities. We're happy to discuss specific amounts when you reach out.
What if I don't know any Masons?
That's perfectly fine! Contact us, and we'll introduce you to members who can answer your questions and potentially serve as sponsors. Many of our members didn't know any Masons before joining.
Join Us for Fellowship
Join us for a meal and fellowship, where you can experience the camaraderie and warmth that define our brotherhood. This is an opportunity to ask questions, learn about the values we uphold, and understand what it truly means to be a part of our tradition. Together, we can explore if you are a fit for joining our ranks and contributing to the great legacy of Freemasonry. We look forward to sharing a meaningful experience with you and welcoming you into our community of brothers.
